Jennie E. Caldwell died a resident of Benton County, Indiana on January 20th, 1912. In her will, a trust was created in which the present Jennie E. Caldwell Memorial Home is to be maintained as a home for the retired ladies of the State of Indiana. Provisions were made for the appointment of trustees under the jurisdiction of the Benton Circuit Court, and it is the duty of the trustees to supervise the Jennie E. Caldwell Memorial Home and to manage the farm lands. Besides the Home, and the real estate upon which it is situated, the trust consists of 1978 acres of farm lands, the income of which is used to support the Jennie E. Caldwell Memorial Home.
